Meet The Family

Hi, I'm John Alegre, the proud owner of Alegre Blind Company. My journery to opening my company began in 1993 when I started working as an installer for Budget Blinds in Orange County. Later, I got hired by Mr. Minibind to do their sales and installations in Long Beach. I was studying to be a Spanish teacher at the time, and working in the blinds business was a way to make some spending money until I finished school. 

In 1999, I moved to northern California to finish my last year of studies. Already having 6 years of experience in the business, I decided to launch my own blind company. That same year, I met and fell in love with my wife Diana, we've been married since July 30th, 2000. Diana and I began working as a team on both estimates and installations. We waited on having children until we felt that we were in a good position to provide for them. In 2004, we felt like the time was right, and in 2005, our precious daughter Kelly was born. Two years later, we completed the family with the birth of our son Gianni. Our lives have had a new purpose ever since.

Diana, gives me the strength that I need to get through each day. Even when we were together 24/7 for the first four years of our marriage, people would be amazed at how well we got along. The truth is that she's my best friend, and when she became a  stay at home mom during our children's most formative years, I missed being with her 24/7, but she had a far more important job, taking care of our kids, and she was great at it!

Kelly and Gianni are my inspirations, the #1 reason I work hard everyday. The day that Kelly was born, she changed our lives forever and for the better. Our kids have brought our family a joy that neither Diana nor I had known all of our years before them. Today, they're  both teenagers and it feels like the years have flown by. Diana is back to working with me most days, off course, her schedule revolves around the kid's activities. And for my part, I've continued to give my all to my clients, in order to provide the best for my family.  I hope you'll give us the chance to earn your business!
